Frequently Asked Questions
What is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine is a “virtual visit” that allows our patients to stay inside, stay safe, and reduces the chance of COVID19 exposure for everyone.
Our virtual visit will allow you to do your office visit with your smartphone or computer and from the comfort and safety of your home. You will be able to see the provider and we can see you. The process is very simple and we will walk you through it. This virtual visit will help us protect those patients that are at higher risk while still providing the same quality care.
How does Telemedicine work?
Telemedicine is more similar to an in-person visit than you may think! To begin, we ask that you call our office 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. Our office will then email or text you a link to access our virtual waiting room. Once you click on your link through your smartphone or computer, the website will ask you to test your microphone and speakers. After the testing is done, you will enter our virtual waiting room.
Once our doctors can see you in the virtual waiting room, they will select your name to start the appointment. You will be able to see and hear the doctor and the doctor will be able to see and hear you. In addition, our doctors will be conducting these appointment from the normal exam rooms, giving you and the doctor complete privacy as you discuss your health and medical needs.
