This condition is the result of weakened valves in the veins that allow some blood to flow backward and pool in the lower extremities. This condition can be treated with our advanced vein treatments. We invite you to look over our Vein Gallery to see images of patients after vein treatments at Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery.

Symptoms of venous insufficiency (CVI)

At Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery, our team performs advanced vein treatments to resolve a range of cosmetic and physical symptoms, including:

  • Varicose veins
  • Skin discolorations at ankles
  • Discomfort and pain in the legs
  • Bulging, visible veins
  • Leg swelling
  • Tight, painful, or itchy legs
  • Leg ulcers that do not heal
  • Cramping, tingling sensation
  • Dermatitis with reddened or weepy injuries
  • Thickened or hardened skin on legs and ankles

The importance of resolving vein problems: Your future health

Healthy blood flow is a critical aspect of maintaining the health of your legs, ankles, and skin. If left untreated, CVI can lead to more serious health conditions. The condition of faulty or incompetent veins can lead to life-threatening infections and be very difficult to treat, increasing pain and discomfort.

Vein treatments: What we do

The team at Roller Weight Loss and Advanced Surgery performs a range of treatments to resolve varicose veins, spider veins, and CVI, including:

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)

Radiofrequency energy is applied to the damaged vein through a tiny incision near the knee. The energy closes off the blood flow to the vein, which is then rerouted naturally to deeper blood vessels.

VenaSeal®

VenaSeal treatments involve a specialized medical glue to close damaged veins which seals the vein walls so the blood can be naturally rerouted to healthier, deeper blood vessels.

Visual sclerotherapy

A minimally invasive treatment, visual sclerotherapy is performed to treat visible veins on the skin’s surface such as spider veins. A specialized “sclerosing” agent is injected into the visible vein which closes it off, causing the vein to fade away as it is reabsorbed into the body tissues naturally.

Microphlebectomy

Microphlebectomy is a minimally invasive treatment that removes varicose veins through a very small incision. This approach can be performed to treat large, surface varicose veins that can’t be resolved with other treatments with a fast and reasonably comfortable recovery.

Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT)

This minimally invasive procedure applies heat to varicose veins through a laser fiber, closing off the enlarged veins.
