Education and Background

Dr. Pries is a graduate of the University of Kansas Medical School. She completed her general surgery residency at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans before returning to the Midwest for advanced minimally invasive surgery training at the University of Missouri Bariatric Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Pries obtained her board certification in General Surgery from The American Board of Surgery. Additionally, she is affiliated with Northwest Medical Center-Springdale and Physicians’ Specialty Hospital.

Focused on Minimally Invasive Surgical Techniques For The Best Patient Outcomes

When considering weight loss surgery, you should be confident that you’re in the care of a focused surgeon who employs the latest and most advanced techniques. Dr. Pries has intentionally honed her surgical skills in advanced and minimally invasive procedures to strengthen the Roller Weight Loss and Advanced Surgery commitment to minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Pries joins our bariatric and general surgeons team to remain at the forefront of the latest surgical techniques. Because laparoscopic surgery involves much smaller incisions, you’ll experience less post-op pain, fewer complications, and a faster recovery. Other benefits include reduced scarring and less impact on your immune system. Dr. Pries understands the life-changing effect that these surgical techniques have on her patients.

Surgical Specialties

Dr. Pries’ impressive training includes advanced minimally invasive techniques for both bariatric and general surgical procedures, as well as methods addressing:

  • Inguinal and incisional hernia
  • Gallbladder
  • Hiatal hernia
  • Anti-reflux procedures
